Work in Progress Zodiac Constellations 🌌

Hello everyone!

Today I am showing you guys a preview of my most recent resin work.
They are based on the zodiac constellations!

I’m quite satisfied with the result. It was my first time painting my resin pieces.
I haven’t got to make all of them yet because I ran out of bezels! 😭

I will be selling these new pieces in the Artist alley at my local convention!
I’m really excited to start selling these!

Cosplan: Nana δΈƒ from Noragami

Today I am posting this blog that talks about the breakdown of a cosplay, making the cosplay etc. for the character that I plan on cosplaying very soon! I usually write this all down in my notes and in Cosplanner, but I figured that if I make a blog for everybody to view that some of you may find it useful!

I plan to make a cosplay for the character "Nana" from the manga of Noragami! Most of you who have watched the Anime has probably never heard of her. That's because she is a new character that has recently debuted in the Manga. But don't worry! This blog will not contain any major spoilers!

Let's move on to the breakdown of the cosplay! Nana's outfit consists of:
  • A sleeveless, ragged Kimono. (the "haori" type)
  • A ragged cape.
  • rope/belt/cloth.
  • Gauze. ( arms,legs & feet)

Art by: Curi0usbaka

The cosplay itself is pretty simple. The color scheme is unknown due to her being a character from the Manga. But I’ll assume that the color scheme consists of grungy whites and browns because she was born in the Shinto era πŸ˜…

I’ll just use the Mangacap that I had colored and the fanart by curi0usbaka as reference.

For the Kimono I will most likely be using the pattern that I had recently purchased for a shrine maiden outfit.
As for the cape, I’ll probably just use my scouting legion one as reference haha.

I want to tea dye the majority of the cosplay so for the most part I will only be using white fabric. Here are some swatches that I test dyed:

Nana is a Shinki so she has no props. But I could probably make her box and use that as a prop. I could easily make it out of foam or a cardboard box. Or maybe even find a wood cube! I’d assume the colors are gray, it looks like it could be make from stone? As for the wig, I’ll be using a black one. It should be easy to find. I’ll most likely have to style it as well. She has really messy hair! 😝

Small Details:

The character “δΈƒ” is written in red on her left cheek.

If I were to get lenses, I would get green.

She is barefooted, so I’ll need to make something to go under the gauze that is wrapped around her feet.

Her Kimono is slightly open so I may need to make a white tube top of a thing. Then maybe wrap it with gauze afterwards?

Sort of an introduction...?

Hello everyone and welcome to Kitsune Tale’s official site!
There are a lot of things that I’d like to post here on this blog such as: updates on new items in the shop, WIPs, tutorials relating to: resin, felting, sewing, jewelry and whatever else I find relevant to Japanese fashion and Kawaii.

I have been making many things the past few months preparing for the Artist Alley at my local convention. I have sewn many bows and bags to sell. I have also crafted UV Resin pieces to turn into necklaces and keychains. There are so many more things that I’d like to create before setting off into a convention. It would be a disaster to attend unprepared! I’m probably just being too cautious lol.

My Etsy is currently being rebuilt. But feel free to check it out anyway! It use to be called Dongoshop. Which Idiot 12 year old me didn’t even notice that it was spelled incorrectly thus I changed the shop name. I’m much more older now so I know better! And this time I gave the name a lot of thought instead of naming it after our derpy cat. Plus, I’m much more skilled at making and selling crafts now. I only sold 1 item out of all the items I had on my Etsy 6 years ago, can you believe that? This time I’m more focused on selling at anime conventions instead of online.

My Etsy is now aimed towards whomever picks up my card at our table. I discovered that this is my best option during a yard sale our family put out a few years ago. I decided to set up a booth and sell jewelry and boy did it blow up! I was unconfident that nobody would buy anything because of the lack of sales on my Etsy. Selling in public is different. And that’s what Kitsune Tale is going to be.
